Exhaust manifold type needed to run this with this kit *C-2.0L-XE
|
This upgrade of the 2.0L range includes an ultra lightweight steel crank, a dry sump system, slipper pistons & steel rods. This kit includes a Vauxhall XE cylinder head with CNC portwork with 35mm & 31mm valves & uses +2mm diameter & 7mm stem valves. The inlet manifold also has CNC portwork. It also uses the latest ECU, the MBE992, which comes ready programmed & ready to run, however we would recommend a mapping session to fine tune the engine. The MBE992 is capable of running Barometric sensing, Alternator sensing (tells alternator not to charge except when throttle is closed - reducing the load on the engine when accelerating), Direct firing coils (each spark plug has its own coil), Launch control, Traction control (with the addition of the MBE998), Lambda control, Radiator fan control, Electric Water Pump control, please see MBE9A4 web page for more details |

Peter Hayter has been running this kit on his Westfield with the MBE995 display, achieving many FTDs & 1st in Class in 2007 & 2008 including 2nd Overall & Class Record of 10.56s at the Brighton Speed Trials 2007. Also he was Class winner for the BARC Sprint Championship 2007. |

The kit includes Basic taper throttle body kit (shown above) with 690cc Peco size injectors, upgraded 3.0 Bar fuel regulator & mount. It also has a new profile of camshafts with 300 degree inlet & 290 degree exhaust, along with titanium valve caps. ultra light weight cam followers & special valve springs. |

Replacement idler sleeves & modified tensioners are included along with a crank sensor, multivee pulley & 58 (60-2) tooth external trigger wheel. |
