Exhaust manifold type needed to run this with this kit *C-2.0L-XE
This upgrade represents a progression to a more serious level of engine tune & specification, because of this more care and attention to detail is required when building such an engine. The kit come complete with a MBE Ecu already programmed & ready to use, however we would recommend a mapping session to fine-tune the engine.
Higher bhp
can be achieved with more aggressive cam profiles combined with higher
compression, however due to the tighter tolerances required it is recommended
that help from professional engine builder is obtained.
This kit incorporates Cylinder head work, which has been CNC machined allowing a much higher level of accuracy with race valves of 35mm inlet & 31mm exhaust.
It also replaces the standard rods with steel ones & changes the pistons to slipper ones to allow the kit to produce it's full potential safely. It will be necessary to upgrade the injectors to the smaller high flow peco injectors, INJ-690-P. Also the fuel regulator should be upgraded, please see optional extras for information on the type of regulator available.
This upgrade is most suitable for Gravel & Tarmac Rallying, Sports Cars, single Seaters, Slick shod Westfields and Caterham Type cars for Sprinting, Hill climbing and Circuit racing.

When building an engine of this level of tune we would recommend the use of a Dry sump system for added protection, unless class rules prohibit their use.
