This upgrade represent a progression to a more serious level of engine tune & specification, because of this more care and attention to detail is required when building such an engine. The MBE9A4 Ecu has been programmed & is ready to use, however we would recommend a mapping session to fine-tune the engine.

The kit is the first one to incorporate Cylinder head work, which includes changes of valves & valve guides The cylinder head & port work is done by hand with race valves of 33mm inlet & 29mm exhaust.

It also replaces the standard rods with steel ones to allow the kit to produce it’s full potential safely. It will be necessary to upgrade the injectors to the smaller high flow peco injectors, INJ-480-P along with changing the fuel rail. Also the fuel regulator should be upgraded, please see optional extras for information on the type of regulator available.

When building an engine of this level of tune we would recommend the use of a Dry sump system for added protection, unless class rules prohibit their use.

This upgrade is most suitable for Gravel &Tarmac Rallying, Sports Cars, single Seaters, Slick shod Westfields and Caterham Type cars for Sprinting, Hill climbing and Circuit racing.
