| This
basic taper throttle kit begins to start unleashing the power of the
1.6L 16v.The standard engine is strangled at 109bhp; so once the kit
has been installed, as you can see from the graph opposite it will
give a very smooth power application. The kit comes complete with
an MBE Ecu, which is already programmed with suitable software to
allow your engine to be ready to run. |

| This
kit is the basis for all the other kits in the taper throttle range
for the 1.6L XE Ecotec engine, so it's simple to increase the power
of your engine output by upgrading, if you want to at a later date. |

This
kit has been designed to use the standard injectors fitted to the
2.0L XE pre93 engine, these are made by Bosch, cream in colour part
number is 0208 150 744, however if your injectors are tired you
may wish to replace them with our pattern version INJ-744-P.
The
wiring harnesses have been specially designed to be as neat as possible
and are available in front or rear wheel drive layouts to cover
as many applications as possible, when ordering your kit you should
specify whether your car is front, rear or mid engine layout.
We

event at Rockingham, The car went extremely well and never missed

rallies a Vauxhall Nova powered by a 1600 16v with our Throttle
Bodies and MBE management system.

You
may wish to replace the standard Corsa coil with our more reliable
COIL-4, which suits distributor less engines & can be fitted
direct to the head using 2 x M6x50mm cap head bolts. |

Jones recently changed from carburettors to our taper throttle
body kit & has been really pleased with the results. He was
3rd in Class G in the Westfield Speed Series 2007.

Fuel
Regulator Options
The
kits come with a FR1 fuel pressure regulator, however if you are
anticipating upgrading the kit in the future we would recommend
you choose one of the following options;
FR2SB
Fuel
regulator with high specificiation internals with consistently accurately
maintained fuel pressure on high usage fuel systems, black top,
supplied with -6 & -8 loose couplings. (Shown right)
FR-3.5
& FR-MNT Fuel
regulator 3.5 Bar (51.45 PSI) & mounting bracket. (Shown far
right)

Fuel
Injection Options
If
you are aniticipating upgrading the to +30 bhp in the futrue, you
may wish to choose to use the smaller high flow peco injectors,
these require a different fuel rail which can be substituted as
part of the kit instead of the standard rail. Alternatively if you
wish to upgrade later, the fuel rail can be purchased separately.

Barometric
Sensors
If
you are likely to be using the engine in situations when you are
at altitude ie. travelling abroad in the mountains, then you'll
need to run this sensor to adjust the fuel mixture to compensate.

may wish to upgrade the rod bolts to heavy duty bolts which will
allow you to increase the rev limit from 7250 to 7750.
