This next upgrade changes from hydraulic to solid followers requiring double valve springs, new caps & platforms. This allows a better choice of camshafts, which can cope with higher revs. The MBE Ecu comes complete with a program allow you to be ready to run immediately.
Due to the increased lift, the standard pistons & rods must be replaced with Omega high compression pistons and steel rods.
It will be necessary to upgrade the injectors to the smaller high flow peco injectors, INJ-480-P along with changing the fuel rail. Also the fuel regulator should be upgraded, please see optional extras for information on the type of regulator available.
Once you have progressed to this level of upgrade, it would be worthwhile to consider cylinder head work and inlet manifold porting to increase the bhp by an additional 20bhp. This would include a changing the valves to wasted stem type along with bronze valve guides.
Additionally you may wish to consider the installation of a dry sump system for added protection, unless your class rules prevent it.
