SBD position of 60-2 tooth wheel CAM SENSOR ALIGNMENT FOR SEQUENTIAL ENGINES

If your engine is to be run sequentially, the following information allows you to synchronise the crank position sensor with the cam sensor. When number 1 cylinder is on its firing stroke, rotate the crank until the crank sensor is 3 teeth past the missing gap (missing teeth gap). The cam sensor should be aligned at this point with its tooth. There is a tolerance of + or - 1 tooth, this tolerance is acceptable provided all engines being built are produced with the same alignment. This is because when the engine is programmed, the fuel timing will be adjusted to optimise its delivery at this time.

IMPORTANT NOTE: under no circumstances should the cam sensor be aligned with the gap.
