Hayabusa
gear control system

GEAR-PS-SWT-PUSH-PULL
This system is a standalone unit, which can be fitted to a motorbike-powered
car. When the driver pulling a lever calls for an up-shift, the
shift rod then sends a signal to the control box, which then initiates
a spark cut by breaking the supply to the coil or coils. This means
the driver does not need to use the clutch on the up-shift. Due
to the way the system controls the smooth spark cut means that the
driver will barely notice the up-change, not only can this be done
under full power but also in mid corner which significantly reduces
time because the driver can concentrate on the circuit rather than
the gear change.

When
the driver calls for a down change by pushing the gear lever, the
shift rod then sends a signal to the control box which then operates
a throttle blip mechanism which is powered by the engine's vacuum
& allows the driver to make down-changes without the use of
a clutch. This again allows the driver to concentrate on braking
& turning rather than the gear change.
