This kit was originally designed for the Ford Escort. When fitting a Vauxhall engine, we don’t recommend trying to mount on to a World Cup cross-member since the positioning of the mountings on the World Cup cross-member results in compound angles along with difficulties fitting the exhaust manifold. We would suggest the use of our chassis kit and remove the original mountings from the cross-member. Suitable for Sunbeams, Chevettes, Opel Mantas, etc |

If you do fancy slotting an XE in your old Ford and upsetting the purists, then you will definitely need one of these chassis mount kits from SBD. The kit includes a bracket to weld to the chassis rail, required tubing and bushes and the plates which will bolt to the block. All you need is a welder and an angle grinder, and of course an engine.
