All serial type ECUs must only be linked to your computer using either a SBD mapping lead or a lead manufactured exactly to the details shown below. DO NOT USE A STANDARD SERIAL LEAD AS THIS COULD CORRUPT YOUR MAPS/PROGRAM, DAMAGE THE ECU OR EVEN THE LAPTOP.

Because the MBE software is being continually upgraded & new functions being added to the latest ECUs, the most up to date way to find out all the functions of your specific ECU is to select the ECU & software version within Easimap (this will be done automatically if your ECU is linked to your computer & powered up).

An Easimap 5 Information file has been produced (December 2007), which comprises of the Help folders on the Easimap software.

The MBE992 Ecus supplied by SBD are all CAN interface, this is a much faster system and is required to cope with the increased amount of data which is required to be transmitted between the ECU & computer. Firmware is continually being upgraded for this Ecu, please click here for current upgrades.

The MBE-MAP-KIT-3-CAN (MBE985)mapping kit is required to convert the information from your high speed USB port to the CAN data required by the ECU. This is available from SBD. You would also need to confirm the interface on your wiring harness as an additional adaptor maybe required.
