For
the next upgrade more aggressive camshafts have been used to gain
the improvement in torque & bhp. However, this means double
valve springs will have to be used along with making a change in
valve caps & platforms a necessity. These performance figures
are based on using the later Focus cylinder head (HEAD-CYL-5) fitted
to the 2008-on Duratec engines, if the earlier head is used you
would expect to see approximately 10bhp less.
Standard
pistons must be replaced with SBD/Omega high compression pistons
& steel rods.

The
kit comprises of new design high
specification throttle bodies, injectors, camshafts & verniers
pulleys, double valve springs, caps & platforms. Along with
pistons & rods, fuel pressure regulator & mount.
The
MBE9A4
Ecu comes already programmed & ready to use, however for
this level of specification we would recommend a mapping session
to fine-tune the engine

Additionally
you may wish to consider the installation of a dry sump system
for increased protection, unless your class rules prevent its
use. |
