It’s official! We won the ACSMC loose surface championship in our first season “in the woods”, thanks largely to having a strong, reliable car and a 100% finishing record.

As you know, your tweaks and upgrades made a huge difference to the car, and I was delighted to have got 4th overall and a class win.

We now lead the championship overall, with one event to go – The Tempest Stages in November, so it’s down to the wire!

The car was originally built by Sidney Meeke Motorsport as a development car for Opel. The bodyshell is based on the Mk1 Corsa externally, but is completely redesigned underneath including new custom made aluminium wheel arches & bodywork.

It runs a Xtrac four-wheel system, the engine is a 260bhp SBD 2.0L XE based on our Astra kit car engine. It was upgraded to the MBE9A4 ECU last year (2009).
